OUR SUGGESTED 2-DAY KTM MOTO ITINERARY :
Day 1 : Merzouga – Tisardmen – Fossils – Visit Nomads – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will begin our Moto ride in Merzouga. We will provide you with the necessary Moto equipment, and once you are ready, we will drive across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. During this journey, you will witness the enchanting beauty of the Sahara as we pass through oases, villages, and notable locations such as Tisardmine, Azrkam, and Saf Saf. We will stop for a picnic lunch and tea, allowing you to soak in the desert atmosphere. We will explore the desert dunes, visit Nomad communities, and finally return to Merzouga village.
Day 2 : Merzouga Dunes Erg Chebbi – Road Paris Dakar – Merzouga
Today, our Merzouga excursion continues. After breakfast, we will embark on a ride around the dunes, experiencing the thrill of the desert. We will also follow the path of the former Rally Paris Dakar route. After a full day of adventure, we will return to the village, concluding our 2-day Moto tour in Merzouga.
Day 1 : Ouarzazate – Zagora
On the first day of the 3-day motorbike tour in Morocco, we will start by providing you with the necessary kit and bikes from our shop. We will then embark on a 75km tarmac road journey to reach the starting point of the off-road trail. After a quick coffee break, we will hit the dirt road, which offers a beautifully flowing hilly track. As the morning progresses, the terrain becomes rougher and more challenging. Towards the end of the morning, we will face a steep and, possibly, rocky mountain pass. We will enjoy a picnic lunch along the trail.
In the afternoon, the mountains transform into canyon-like formations, creating a stunning landscape. We will experience a dramatic descent down the side of a canyon, leading us to the Draa Valley. Here, we will ride along a delightful off-road trail that runs through ancient mud-walled villages, showcasing the rich heritage of this famous region. Alternatively, there is an option to follow the assistance vehicle on the road to the hotel in Zagora.
Day 2 : Zagora- Foum Zguid
We will start the day early as it promises to be long and demanding. Heading south on old Rally tracks, you will have the opportunity to practice keeping the bike stable at high speeds. After a quick refueling stop, we will continue on fast and flowing tracks that lead west to the sand dunes of Chegaga. We will reach the dunes and enjoy a pleasant lunch before proceeding west towards Foum Zguid. Initially rocky, the trail will quickly smoothen out, allowing us to glide across the usually dry lake bed of Lac Iriki. Here, you can discover the true speed capabilities of the KTM bikes. We will then follow an old Dakar rally trail, which will lead us into the town of Foum Zguid. We will spend the night at a comfortable hotel set in a picturesque palm grove, enjoying great food.
Day 3 : Foum Zguid – Ooarzazate
On the final day of the tour, we will cross the Anti-Atlas mountains after a short ride on the tarmac. Our journey will bring us to an incredible gorge, where local Berber villagers cultivate dates on a large scale. After passing through one more village, and with the last opportunity for shade until lunchtime, we will embark on a climb along dramatic tracks clinging to the side of this ancient mountain range.
Following a short descent, we will have a quick ride across agricultural plains before reaching Tazenakht, where we will stop for lunch. Although the tour is coming to an end, the smooth and sweeping gravel track that takes us back to Ouarzazate will provide a delightful ride. This marks the end of our 3-day motorbike tour in Morocco.
Day 1 : Merzouga – Tisardmin – Berber Nomads – Merzouga
Our private Morocco KTM motorbike desert adventure begins after breakfast. We will set off to conquer the highest dunes in the southeast of Morocco, known as Erg Chebbi Merzouga Sand dunes. During this leg of the journey, we will explore the rugged Sahara desert, passing through the oases of Tisardmine and Saf Saf. We will enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the desert’s natural beauty, under the shade of acacia or palm trees. Later, we will return to Merzouga village for rest and dinner at one of our desert hotels or riads.
Day 2 : Merzouga – Mifis – Begaa Mountains – Dunes of Znigui – Merzouga
After breakfast, our Merzouga KTM motorbike tour continues. We will ride approximately 10-15 km through the dunes to reach the Mifis mines. From there, we will venture further into the Sahara Desert, making our way to the Begaa Mountains. In a village along the way, we will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch with a local Berber family. Afterward, we will return to our hotel in Merzouga village, marking the end of the day’s journey.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Dunes of Merzouga Erg Chebbi – Paris Dakar Route – Merzouga
Today, after breakfast, we will embark on our KTM motorbikes to experience the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will follow the former Paris Dakar off-road route, visiting a Nomad family along the way. We will have the chance to share a meal and tea with them, immersing ourselves in their culture and traditions. As evening approaches, our 3-day Merzouga motorcycle tour comes to an end.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Lake of Serge – Palms of Eissani – Erfoud – Merzouga
In the morning, we will ride through the Sahara Desert to visit the beautiful Lake of Merzouga. We will explore the surrounding area near Erfoud, including the road used in the former Paris Dakar rally. Passing through several Berber villages, we will reach Erfoud and discover its canal system. From there, we will venture off-road, returning to Merzouga village. As evening falls, our 4-day Merzouga motorcycle tour concludes.
Day 1 : Merzouga – Taous – Ouzina – Ramlia- Mharech
Our 5-day Moto Morocco tour begins in Merzouga. Today, we will embark on a full day of motorcycle riding through the black Sahara desert’s sandstone landscapes. We will pass through several Berber villages, including Taous, Ouzina, and Ramlia, as we make our way to Mharech. Our overnight stay will be at the Elmharech Camping where we will enjoy dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 : Mharech – Erfoud
From Mharech, we will ride towards Erfoud on a piste route. Along the way, we will discover desert Berber villages and pass through the palm groves of Erfoud and Rissani. We will spend the night in Erfoud at a local hotel, where dinner will be provided.
Day 3 : Erfoud – Piste Of Citroin – Saf Saf Oasis – Azrkam Merzouga
In the morning, we will set off to the Saf Saf Oasis in the Sahara desert, passing through the Dakar piste. This route will take us along the former Paris-Dakar rally path. We will enjoy a picnic in the desert before returning to Merzouga for the night. Accommodation will be provided at a local hotel or riad, along with dinner.
Day 4 : Merzouga Desert
Today, we will explore the highest desert dunes in Morocco. We will cross the desert, reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes for lunch. Afterward, we will continue our ride through the dunes and rocky pistes, eventually returning to Merzouga village. We will spend the night at a local hotel, enjoying dinner.
Day 5 : Merzouga – Khamlia – Merzouga Desert
On the final day of our 5-day Moto Morocco tour, we will ride to Khamlia village and then explore the Merzouga lake and Rissani palm grove. The route will offer scenic views of mountains and rivers. In the evening, we will return to Merzouga to conclude our tour.
